Pays de Fougères Rally 2026: the first 119 entries set to take on the roads of Normandy and the Pays de la Loire

Home / News / Pays de Fougères Rally 2026: the first 119 entries set to take on the roads of Normandy and the Pays de la Loire

21 December 2025 par Guillaume Nédelec

From 29 May to 1 June 2026, the Pays de Fougères Rally will bring together 119 historic automobiles, from pre-war models to cars of the 1970s, travelling between Fresnay-sur-Sarthe, the Alpes Mancelles and Bagnoles-de-l’Orne. Frazer-Nash and Alfa Romeo, the event’s guest marques of honour, will headline an outstanding international entry list.

From 29 May to 1 June 2026, the Pays de Fougères Rally is set to deliver an exceptional new edition, combining automotive heritage, scenic touring and the art of living. Welcomed on Friday in Fresnay-sur-Sarthe, voted “Favourite Village of the French” in 2022 and awarded FFVE “Town of Welcome” status in 2025, the crews will head towards the Alpes Mancelles before reaching Bagnoles-de-l’Orne, an elegant Belle Époque spa town that will serve as the event’s base.

The 2026 edition stands out thanks to a particularly rich and international field, bringing together 119 historic automobiles, built between 1922 and 1971, from France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Switzerland and Andorra. Outstanding pre-war cars – including Vauxhall 30/98, Lagonda, Alvis Speed, Frazer-Nash and Talbot-Lago – will share the road with post-war and 1960s icons such as Jaguar XK and E-Type, Aston Martin, Bentley, Maserati, Porsche 356, Austin-Healey, Mercedes-Benz SL and Alfa Romeo.

As guest marques of honour, Frazer-Nash and pre-war Alfa Romeo will receive special attention, highlighting the sporting and artisanal spirit that shaped European automotive history. Several rare models and period coachbuilt bodies – by Chapron, Touring, Saoutchik, Vanden Plas and others – will further enhance this rolling showcase of motoring heritage.

Throughout the stages, the rally will offer a fully immersive experience: scenic drives through Normandy’s Suisse Normande, gourmet stops in Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives, Livarot and Camembert, a visit to the Château de Carrouges, and public presentations of the crews in the heart of Bagnoles-de-l’Orne. Blending conviviality, discovery and a strong commitment to heritage, the 2026 edition is already shaping up to be one of the highlights of the historic motoring calendar.
